Called to gloworm 30hx the bottom of the casing is badly corroded no signs at the top where flue exits ,couldn't see any leaks the time as was there thinking it's got to be from sump has anyone seen this before cheers

Is it the hxi?
There is a washer in the condense trap that disintegrates. Also the flue gas sample point caps seem to break easily.

30hx but the badge , front cover and cover screws were all corroded had to grind screws off to gain access flue test point ok I am going to order new trap and sump seal cable terminal box screws also cordoned so couldn't remove to gain acces to con trap I ll do this next visit but I ll check the seal now cheers

I think your right if I waited long enough to see con trap empty i would ve been able to check trap cheers

Check the seal on the main hex, I have seen a couple fail and a small amount of poc's and condensation leaking out the bottom. It corrodes the case at the front and bottom.

These are dangerous boilers if not fully checked. Need check the graphite burner seal at front is fitted. The original rubber one disintegrates. Got a dose of CO poisoning from one of these in small utility.
The flue collector seal at back goes as well.
Heap of a boiler!
