My boilers condensate is running loose into a length of 32mm solvent weld waste pipe and isn't sealed and is emitting nasty smells from the stack. Do I need to seal the connection between the condensate and the 32mm waste or fit a trap. The 32mm waste is tight up against the wall so I can't get a compression to fit over it. Could I make a trap out of solvent fittings? Is there a suitable connection that will seal the condensate into the waste?

I prefer the rubber ones as you can get them off again if you need to

you could make a trap from fittings aslong boiler instructions are followed reguard air gap. the trap would need to have a 75mm water seal.
