converting combi to sysyem

Hi all,
Read a couple of threads where suggestions for better hot water flow ie: 2 bathrooms where a combi exists is to convert it to a system boiler. What happens to the hot connection on the combi dosent this have to be connected.

If a secondary heat exchanger fitted in boiler,hot and cold can be left disconected or hot capped,if hot water heated through main heat exchanger then cold needs to stay connected,so if boiler in kitchen,say,maybe run kitchen hot from combi and all other outlets from newly installed cylinder

What difference does it make if the hot is ran through the main heat exchanger? If theres no call for hot water from the combi, not sure how this works?😕

theres only one make that runs hot directly thro the main heat exchanger and thats intergas the rest run via a diverter sytem and 2dry heat exchanger and i would always leave at least the kitchen on the original combi set up to ensure it all continues to work ok, omho. why dont you buy the john reginald book on combis it might help you

good idea with one heat vexchanger for hw and heating, expn vessel on seperate jig or sited elsewhere, cheaper than worcesters and reasonable guarentee
