what is the going rate for cooker install, customer has just moved in to property and the cooker gas pipe has been plugged, so will need cooker hose, bayonet fitting and safety chain

i have installed many at £65 quid but when buying the fittings sometimes feels that its not worth doing so finding what most engineers charge.

£70.00.if it conforms to M.I.S,this also includes gsr registration😎

i just spoke to gas safe and cookers don't need to be signed off or need a certificate, only heating appliances do i.e boilers, gas fires

no they do not need to be signed off, this is personal choice, always did it with corgi and carry on so with gsr.😎

thats fine,i know i install according to the regs, just can't see what you would want to pay £2.50 everytime when you don't have to😕

It looks good to the customer when they get a compliance certificate through.

yeah, i can see some pompey customers hanging it on their loo wall, the first certficate they have ever earned. Hence why I moved away to sunny Devon
