Hello, first post here so hi.
I have taken up the floor in my kitchen and found that the copper pipes for the CH and gas have not been lined with tape then concreted over. This is obviously wrong, so I have removed them and plan to re-do using battens and ply to make a duct which will not need backfilling and the pipes run in the duct.
My question is, do I need to use coated / wrapped copper in the duct? The pipes will be sitting on the concrete, but at no time will be in contact with wet cement - would ordinary uncoated be OK or should they still be sleeved?
