Hi all
First post here and I'm not a plumber either....
What's a ball park figure to have a plumber power flush our central heating system - 4 bed house with radiators in all rooms. I understand quite a lot of work is involved in this and I have no idea how to do it myself.
Any comments gratefully recieved.

Cheers!

British Gas will charge you around £800 and an independant such as myself will chage you £400. Prices will vary upon region and how much work sombody has.

Starting at around £400 done properly. Some local specialists round NW London are doing it for £350 but its not a proper power flush, I have seen some of their work, I flush the whole system and get out as much crud as possible and agitate before I use chemicals. I used to use about five bottles of x800 jet flow now one or two.

i use a norstom p/f machine
tds meter
ph meter
ir thermometer
the rest is pretty much like the method in this months gas installer ( cant find a link someone help please) anyone do it any differently?

Thanks for the replies - £400 was about the price I was hoping for!
Thanks
