hi all

im new here and hope i've posted this in the correct place, if not if the mods could move it please?

i currently work as a domestic and commercial heating engineer on gas and oil. being doing it for about ten years and feel ready to look at going self employed.

my current employer has said he will give me some work which will help.

im registered as self employed as well as being employed and have done small jobs for the last two years.

my question, has anybody been in this position and could you give me some advice, also the main thing i'm after is a list of costings that you have on a yearly basis so i can work out some profit / loss sheet?

many thanks in advance

andrew

I've got a basic cashflow spreadsheet you can put all your overheads etc in and see how much you need to make to breakeven, i used it as an estimate for my first year to get funding but im going to use it for keeping records also PM me if you want it
