As its Friday and there have been a few tales this week of some newer members being
conned by customers I thought it might be good to post a few real experiences to
let these fellas know the ropes. Even if its our mistake.:57:

1. Lady A*** (a real titled person) in Bath who complained that we had stained a carpet - I took the fitter back and he spotted that the rug had moved during the day - it was an old stain and the sun had bleached the area were a rug had been placed to cover the stain - she took a coughing fit when it was pointed out ............end off

2. The service the boiler and system trick - always start the thing up and check all rads
come up full - loads of 'the rad doesnt work since your visit' scams

Mobile phones with camera have made it all so much better, now my lot pic everything
even with todays Mirror newspaper in the pic

Your stories.............centralheatking

where do i start lol

Had one last week had put in loads of sensor taps for a county council and when i finished as per usual i issued a maintenace manual where i had stated that any issues with none working taps then first instance change the batteries .
This was passed to the maintenance team there and i also informed them verbally about changing batteries every few months .

3/4 months later i am getting allsorts of grief down phone from the maintenance manager saying that offices have no running water health safety issue etc etc .

I said have you changed batteries ?
Of course we have came reply , so off i toodle and first thing check batteries on taps , panasonic which were same ones i installed ,put ne w batteries in all taps worked a treat .
Then came the excusees that they where not informed to do that etc etc

Then he states we also have faulty water heater which i installed has not worked few days . First thing i notice its turned off , i turn it on and it works .

Just looked at maintenance manager with a look of your an idiot and left .

Had a system that I reckon was slugded up, poor circulation. Told the cow it would an hourly rate, any way it wasn't going well. New pump no joy, farthest rads not returning. F&e tank starts to overflow, tells her I'll fix it at hourly rate. The old bats not happy, and tells me to knock the time off the bill that I'm answering the phone to other customers.

So I politely tell her she needs a new mug/heating engineer, and write her a letter explaining that the x800 I put in her system needs flushing out sooner rather than later.
