Evening fellas

been reading up on the green building forum. Suggested in there to wire in a pipe stat onto the return on primary circs instead of using a cylinder stat on unvented cylinder.

Would then the boiler boiler not fire so often when cold water enters the cylinder ?

thanks

That would be going against the manufacturers instructions. The thermostat supplied with the unvented unit is always to remain and be used.
Remember the thermostat is one of the most important safety parts of an unvented unit because overheat is the danger

as already said, everything that is supplied by the cylinder manufacturer must be fitted per manu fitting instructions
