danfoss ebi transformer 3 wire lead

Why when you buy a new transformer from the stockists why dont they sell u the 3 wired lead with it when their docket says u must replace it to 3 wired. Is it totally essential to do so

Yes the new transformers are earthed the old ones weren't. It only takes a minute to swap them over.

Ye i know its handy done just have rathered to not have to go back again.

Guess there is the possibility you are replacing a faulty modern 3 wire transformer version & don't need the extra lead. But you are correct, - they should try to sell you new lead.

HWOS send a lead out with the transformers IIRC

I always get a lead from hwos.
