Hi.
I've done a course with skills centre, which ended up being a right pain and a con. As they went out of business and I ended up paying out money to finish off what I could.

So I've ended up with Water regs card and Unvented Hot Water Storage Systems.

I have plunged a lot of money into this. I knew I was getting screwed, but I had to come out with something. I don't really know where I can start as I need to make money to get more skills really. Any advice would be apreciated. I was hoping to beable to start out soon. But as much as I would like too, I feel I may be a bit too semi-skilled to do so.

What area are you in? Perhaps someone on here may be able to give you a bit of experience

Part of my problem is I was left confused (which isn't that hard:wink5🙂. As my tutor said its enough to start doing domestic jobs as long as I stay away from Gas and oil really. I did do a copperpipe test and did practicals on fitting bathroom suites, pipe joining but not LCS joints. Covered all the basics. I'd say if someone asked me to do small domestic jobs I'd be confident in my ability enough to do them.

You wouldn't be the first to take the plunge. Just don't take on anything you are not confident in doing, finding a local plumber who will help on the trickier jobs is a good idea. He gets the money you get the experience! And you won't let your customers down. You may find this plumber will use you as an extra pair of hands occasionally as well 🙂
