Morning all

Did anyone watch the debate last night? What did you think of it?

Heat pumps and home insulation were mentioned a little bit, with Rishi saying it is very expensive to get a heat pump.

Thoughts?

I didn't watch it but if you read the right wing press as I occasionally do there has been a general pull back from net zero or "nut" zero as they like to call it. Whether it's the smart meter roll out failings, heat pump scare stories or stop the oil protests they see it all as a wedge issue and the imposition of Marxism. The truth of course is somewhere inbetween.

Yes the truth is never easy to find amongst everything they say! To be honest I can't wait for it to be over, I am sick of hearing about it already!

Got another few on tv I think haven't we?

No it definately doesn't. Has anyone on here got a heat pump in their home? What is it like if so?

Yes it is very boring isn't it?

If I said that you can hand over your personal finances and business to any of them tomorrow, which would you chose?

I can't think of one politician who I would consider for the job.

Have a look at this if you haven't seen it already. It makes interesting reading.

So far this year my local MP has cost around £150,000.00 and we haven't finished yet. There are 650 of them in the house.

Have a look at your MP and what they cost to date.

If they stood in front of you to justify their own bill, would you be happy with the explanation?

Maybe I am getting old and cynical but I watch the performance day to day and think it is poor.

Just my humble opinion.

My MP was out campaigning in the area, and then the next day he announced that he is standing down and not seeking re election.

Wasted money printing leaflets, adverts etc. Honestly they don't have a clue how to be efficient with cash!!

That is because it isn't their cash.
If they had to pay for it themselves and be reimbursed later on after a review, they'd be a lot more careful.
