Anybody have any tips for connecting to the dielectric junctions on unvented water heaters. I can never get them to seal properly and usually end up cracking them. I use 1/2 inch female to 15 mm and ptfe but just never have any luck with them.

a way/type of seal for keeping steel and copper apart from each other to avoid corrosion. Never fitted one tho🙁

i think a piccy would help.

Most manufacturers recommend flexi connectors with rubber washers. Well the ones I've seen.

What about the magic paste?

I also had no luck with ptfe tape but used a resin based loc and seal type paste.

use more ptfe or loctite string and dont overtighten them. from memory you arent supposed to use jointing compounds as they arent any good for the nylon fittings.

The plastic dooberries sealed fine for me with the rubber washers provided when I put one in a local chippy, didn't need any jointing compound/PTFE..
When you use loctite 55 do you damage the threads like it says you should?
I don't like the idea of doing that tbh.
