Hi folks

We have recently had a new bathroom fitted, which I tiled etc. Anyway, we have had a new hot water cylinder which is working fine. Only snag is the hotter the water gets (via back boiler in fuel stove) the mankier it becomes!
Is there an additive or something we should be bunging in the cylinder to sort it out?

Thanks a lot

Brindle

Additives are ok for the central heating circuit (as it's the same water going round) but any additive will just be wasted surely. Bet the back boilers old though! Hopefully you have a local plumbers merchant who employ ex plumbers rather than salesmen!

dont understand exactly what you mean, are you getting dirty water from your taps? if so your coil in your cylinder is split, if thats the case, new cylinder is needed
