HI can any one help.

I have a problem which I think is the divertor valve. My hot water is not that hot and when i run hot water the rads get warm.

I have got a new divertor and was about to fit it yeserday but had a problem straight away, I could not figure how the case was removed.

Today another fault has appeared the fuse has tripped and there is a smell of over heating plastic. I thought this might be the divertor motor overloading due to the diverotor valve sticking?

I now need to get the divertor off to make sure this is the problem but can anyone tell me how the case is removed.

I bought a manual when I bought the divertor valve but this has no diagram breakdowns.

Depends what sort of diverter valve it is, on the honeywell its just a couple of screws. If your replacing the motor it only comes with two wires, unless you have bought the whole top part of the valve it then comes with the whole wiring kit.

Much easier to replace like for like.

If that doesn't work you will need to replace the whole valve. This is not a 5 minute job. It may pay to get someone in, let someone else have the hassel.

if you cant get the case off should you really be poking around inside a boiler??

Thanks your most probably right!!

Thanks for the advice, thats what I was thinking watching telly last night!!
