Do I need to repressurise my Volkera Mynute 14 se boiler? And if so, how?

The pressure reading on my boiler varies from 0.2 bars when it's off to 1.2 bars when it is on at full blast. Do I need to repressurise my boiler?

If I do need to repressurise it, how? I have looked underneath and in the cupboard where the boiler is for a filling loop, but can see no mesh hose or valves to connect a mesh hose to.

Here are two pictures of the underside of the Volkera Mynute 14se boiler in my cupboard. The first is from the underneath and the second is from the front. I hope someone can help me. I've tried in vain by myself so far! 😕 Thanks for looking and seeing if you can help!

Try looking in airing cupboard for a flexi filling hose. One of the 2 lagged pipes is the return, which is generally
what is used to fill system via cold water main.

Is there a sink near the boiler. May be inside a cupboard. Trace those 2 lagged pipes.

It needs the pressure topping up and there will be something somewhere. Follow the pipes to the right and look for another pipe (not the ones on the photo). It may be just a stopcock. Take another photo showing all the pipes.

You have a leak on the boiler (probably the auto air vent) and the expansion vessel needs checking.

If it were to be a stopcock, thats poor plumbing
it could be a leak on a rad valve

I tried tracing the two lagged pipes. This picture shows them leaving the boiler cupboard.


The pipes then appear to cross my bathroom and go through the wall to the kitchen (they are boxed in). In the bathroom there is a panel of wood that has been grouted and screwed in. Here's a picture of it.



Could this be an access panel for it?

I have only found two examples of this hose in my flat. The first looks like it's piping the water to the taps in the kitchen sink. The second is in this picture and it is in a separate cupboard two doors away which houses the hot and cold water tanks. It doesn't have an easy to open/close valve like the one above.

Certainly is but it happens as there are a lot of poor plumbers

Hello again! Thankyou so much for all this advice! Regarding the stopcock being used I do have another picture to show you. The pipe on the front left of my boiler isn't labelled and I can't see what it is in my instructions. I'll post the pictures again so you can see.
The first picture is the underneath of the boiler.
The second picture is showing you more of the pipe.

My question is could the little nub from this mystery pipe be connected to a similar nub on the stopcock across the hallway?
Also, what is this pipe for?

Get someone to watch the guage at the boiler as you top it up by turning the screw at the right side. Slot in line with the pipe is on and across the pipe off. You don't need to turn it full on, just a wee bit. Remember to turn it back off again.
As i said above, there are a lot of poor plumbers.

The other valve is a drain valve. Leave it.

Fantastic! Thankyou! I'll try it tonight. I have read that systems may need repressurised naturally once a year. Is this true/nonsense?

If my boiler depressurises again relatively soon, should I still have it checked out by a plumber with regards to the auto air vent, the expansion vessel and the radiator valves?

Is the boiler to be off or on when I repressurise? (I am asking because right now, it reads differently from when it is off to when it is on)

Top up when cold to 1 bar - 1.2. It will rise to 2 maybe when it gets hot.

The brown marks on the bottom left side of the boiler means there is a leak inside. Probably the auto air vent on the back of the pump as it is directly above and they leak quite often.
The expansion vessel needs checking as the pressure is rising too much when it heats. It will either need repressurising or replaced.

Sealed systems usually need very little topping up if there are no leaks.

Well we've respressurised the boiler, but I think a plumber will need called for the other two possible problems because the pressure is still varied, even though it's now higher. Thankyou so much for your help!
