Hi guys,

Im going to swap over a knackered telford 60521623 (2 port valve) for a new honeywell 2 port valve. trouble is i cant find the wiring diagrams for the telford valve anywhere, the wire colours on the telford are blue, brown, Grey, Orange, Earth (YG)

does anyone know what wires replace the telford colours?
as far as i can tell they are the same colour but do the grey and orange go to the same place? on the honeywell valve the orange goes to the live from the boiler etc,

anyone done the telford 2 ports before? they arent very common in my area, (its the first one i have seen in 6 years)

Cheers guys.

Cheers ecowarm, in the end i just decided to scratch my head a little bit and wire it up according to the destructions. i made a note of where all the old wires were connected to and came to the same conclusion as you, same wires do the same thing. hehehe.

you can work them out

motor will have a resistance across 2 wires

switch will be open circuit untill you move arm or press

earth will have continuity with any metal part

Why did you change that. I never took offence.

I never changed it Simon. I was replying to your post that you became a plumber because you don't like electric. Licking your fingers when testing only confirms you don't like a zap. Good kick start first thing in the morning tho lol

Blue wire and Brown wire: Motor
Grey wire and Orange wire: Switch
Yellow/Green: Earth

The actuators in these valves are just low quality (Plastic gears!).
I'm still trying to find a suitable replacement for mine without changing the valve.

If anybody knows of a compatible actuator, please respond.
