The Drayton LP 522 is left on constant, the Digistat SCR green light is on (Heating on) the digistat RF2 thermostat is calling for heat (The flame symbol is on) both on timed and constant, the boiler does not appear to receive the signal (No red light on the outer cabinet), usually does work fine on the morning settings, evening settings are hit and miss (Usually nothing), batteries in the RF2 are new. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Wrong section but I suspect your control valve. Take a photo of it and we may be able to tell you if the problem is diagnosable by touch.

Thank you for the replies
I have taken the batteries out of the RF2, turned the power off to the SCR and then turned it back on again, the red light then comes on, I then press the override button once and the green light comes on, both lights come stay on but nothing happens with the boiler, no light or power.

The control valve is a Drayton zone valve actuator ZA 5

Green light on, stat calling.

Most likely the the receiver is knackered.

The digistat scr units are rubbish and prone to breaking down.

Get someone in with the knowledge of how to test these and replace with
a different make, don't just replace the receiver.

Since my last post I have turned the hot water to constant on the LP 522 programmer...the boiler is not receiving a signal for hot water either now, could this be a problem with the capacitor in the SCR, or is the problem more likely to be with the programmer.

Without being there to check it out I would suspect a problem with the boiler.

You had a green light at the receiver so that would indicate the programmer workin ok.

Time now to get a boiler breakdown technician in to investigate.

If your room stat or receiver is broken consider if it's possible to replace it with a wired set up they rarely pack up unlike the rf ones they aren't known for lasting long.
