The thing that scares me is that Ebola in it's present form is transmitted by bodily fluids - ie physical contact - so provided you avoid infected peoples blood, snot, etc, you should be ok. Now all viruses evolve and change, so if such a virus mutated so that it could be transmitted by indirect contact - eg airborne transmission, then the whole thing gets worse. Just saying - didn't want to scare anyone. Just zipping myself into my NBC suit....

Are you wearing your tin foil hat whilst wearing your suit?

No doubt, if we Scot’s vote in favour of independence, some of our infected commomwealth friends will find their way over to Scotland’s Commonwealth Games and wipe us all out.
“Got the oil at last, and that’s what you get for not sharing the national debt!”

I thought Scotland WAS our national debt ginge.

I can"t understand how that guy in america died, yet the guy from the uk came back got treatment & survived.I don"t think we have anything too much to worry about with the meds that we have in this country now, let"s face it if you get aids in this country it"s treatable now.

You are possibly looking at the biggest threat humankind has ever faced.
I keep harping on: IT'S AIRBORNE.

if someone sneezes the germs in your face I would consider that as airborne, but its just as easily passed by touch etc. personally, I feel that Scotland should be the UK isolation unit, bung all the incomers up there for a few months, similar to importing dogs into the uk as was 🙂

Could solve the Isis problem by dropping a few highly infectious people into Iraq and Syria.
Just a thought!

Hey you keep that away from us .All joking apart Scotland has something like 127 islands mostly rocks in the sea.go infect one of them its probably been done before for bird flu..brum

Our minister for health has been on d telly say g there's nothing to be too concerned about. I don't know about you but I find it heard to believe a lot of politicians about most stuff. Bet ye he won't b down d docks when it comes in

There'll probably be something done about now there's money to be made. What kind of pharmaceutical company wants to save the lives of penniless Africans?
