ive for an f62 as an occasional fault. Anyone know the correct resistance on the gas valve?

Ecotec F62
BOILER: F62
Information:

Meaning:
Gas valve switch-off delay

Cause:
Delayed shutdown of gas valve detected

– Secondary light (ignition and monitoring electrode indicates delayed extinguishing of the flame signal)

– Gas valve defective

– PCB defective

I've not seen it happen. There's no way to test the pcb from memory.

I would suspect PCB to be honest. It is possible it's the Gas valve but it would need to be sticking or slow closing? not seating down properly.

What do you think?

I think your probably right. I've batted it back to vaillant. I'm to busy.
This is a stupid time of year, to many enquiries to cope with.
Why don't people call you in the summer?

Tell you when else I see that one.
When I am explaining a diagnosis.

They look like that and then follow it with

"Oh yeah yeah yeah, I get you mate, right yep yep yeh, now I understand".

You've heard that! we all have.

With the timeless reply of
"It was alright this morning"

"I don't think its much"

And my personal favourite.

"It's only ten years old"

its deffo the pcb also check the capacitor on the pcb to see if its bulging as they do on the 7 year + vaillants .
