Hi all,
is it possible to turn an electric shower on from the wall and not the unit? The way my bathroom is laid out it would make much more sense to have the on/off switch outside the shower. Any suggestion on units that will allow this?

1. The switches on an electric shower are designed to be used in a wet environment and remain safe.
2. You could have a ceiling mounted pull cord switch installed to control your shower.
3. You cannot have a normal electrical switch installed within certain areas of a bathroom, and certainly not where it could be reached from someone in the shower.
4. Whether any electronics within the shower would be damaged by power being switched on / off by the pull cord switch I don't know.

The issue I have is that due to the shower glass I can’t turn the shower on before I get in it and I’d like to be able to.

I think you mean more of a remote control for the shower rather than switching the power on/off?

In that case I'm not aware of any electric showers with remotes. I'm sure there's probably one you can control via your phone these days though.

I was hoping there would be one with a leaded on/off switch that you could place in a desired location. You’ll see me in Dragons Den in a year 😅
