Went to see a shower.

Triton Tsi80 or something.

Anyway, no power light comes on to the front, no water hot or cold.

Took front off & with my Fluke (!) electric tester is lit up red & sounded.

No idea about these but there's power going in.

Any thoughts please?

Thanks

faulty solenoid?
Supply to it blocked or accidental shut off

Electric showers work on a very basic principle, cold water in, though heating element, through flow control, out handset. The flow control slows it down and it spends longer at the element/s and gets hotter. So the temperature gauge is actually the control the changes the flow. Obvious there are other factors like thermal cut outs, micro switches etc

Be careful about using a volt stick, it will only check the live and most probelms are the neutral in the pull switch. Use a multimeter with probes to be safe and sure.
Is the neon lit on the pullswitch? If it is and it goes out when you turn the shower on then it will be a faulty pull switch.
If you have 230V to the shower then check out the following link to test the solenoid.
