Was wondering if anybody could offer any advice; got a job coming up in an old building which is being converted into a hair salon. No gas supply so everything is elecrtic. The client wants the hot water feed from electric water heater to go to a hair basin mixer as normal... there's no issues with this is there, or anything I should be aware of?

Like Howsie says, size does count. Make sure the heater will supply enough to the back rinses otherwise a customer could get a cold shock. In the past I have fitted independant electric showers for each backwash in a hairdressers. This gives the added advantage that they can still use them if the main water heater fails.

TMV3 or other anti-scalding protection? I know some electric showers / instantaneous heaters have a habit of sending through a plug of very hot water after an off-on cycle.

I have no experience in this field so please don't take this as advice - just raising a question.
