i have the milwaukee version, it is a quality piece of equipment in the right situation

Watched a Utube of it in action, how does it cope with painted pipe?

yeah I got a milwaukee one, I only use it on 28mm though, as me old pipe slices are quicker on 15mm and 22mm

Surely they would be useful to a 'house basher', presuming that we are still building houses these days, and also not using plastic pipes.

To a normal plumber doing a few cuts a day, its just more dead-weight junk to lug from the van!

140 quid to save about 3 seconds per cut. would not be for me
I totaly agree, mine came along with a torch, a recipricating saw, a cordless screw driver, and canvass bag in one kit and was given to me by a customer.

I certainly would not have gone out and purchased it. saying that the reciprecating saw, is really usefull and having used that more than the pipe cutter I would definatley recommend that as a purchase.

Good bit of kit but cutting the pipe is one of the few forms of exercise I have left,so best not give up quite yet 😀
