Excessive kettling and banging inside a heat only boiler

I have a problem with a heat only boiler that makes excessive kettling and banging noise when fired up. it does it either when heating the hot water in the cylinder and/or radiator circuit. Boiler is aproximately 5years old. Please can you help

has it been flushed in the last 2yrs,...... has it got air lock in or low on water , not up to 1+bar on pressure, what make of boiler also would help to point a finger in the right direction, run some de-scaler through,

It is an Halstead Eden VB High Efficiency Condensing Boiler G.C. No 41-260-09

on an open vented system. There seemed to be some air running through the system which ive bled alot out already but radiators are all heating up fine. but the noise coming from the boiler is enough for you to worry and turn the boiler off. No it hasnt been flushed.

some one on here may jump in with more help, but it could be air still trapped in engine, AAV sticking thus not letting air out, or reqiures descaleing has it got 1+bar on gauge, if you have bad kettling it will keep producing more air!

What would you say if upon looking at the f&e tank in the loft i found that the feed was taken from the very bottom/ base of the tank! 🙂

does it protrude the F & E though by and inch or so though?

If not then the words Power flush and repipe the F & E come into mind

Pump or stat would be my first thought...if the heat isnt getting away not a powerflush...if heat isnt getting away the burner should be going out...not kettling...this indicates stat problem not blockage etc
