I spoke to the manger of the works and I was told to stop making problems !!! I called gas safe and hse and got the works stopped

Not gonna get anywhere grassing your own labourer up? Green steal and the likes are shocking

SOne scary jobs not far from me the whole street got free insulation condencing pipes covered over prvs rendered over and flues boxed around leaving just the fumes duct

just moved a main eco elite from down stairs to up on a house run gas ext and done condence and just been told by customer hes having free insulation - looking forward to going back to look

A vokera excell flue replaced with plastic Vokera HE flue.
A few recessed flues.
Hand full of boilers with PRV pipes cladded over.

If they recess the flue they must either follow guidance from manufacturer about doing this or maintain the clearances required for the flue in the instructions as if it was an internal corner. If the flue needs alteration and it's no longer available then it's new boiler time.

also if your working on this type of job your supposed to isolate any boiler which flue come out on a wall to be worked on and the re commission at the end of the day to stop workers breathing in fumes while working near the flue.

same for any open flued appliances due to risk of ventilation changes and possible removal of advantageous ventilation.
