I would say that was cheap mate but everyone has there own rates, you have to work out what you want. If someone is doing 3 installs a week compared to someone doing 1 a month and what each person needs to live, pointless working for nothing.

Exactly mate I just wanted a second opinion as i thought that was a good price but have heard nothing back. They've probably got some1 to put a combi in instead as I said i wouldn't fit 1 because they've got 3 bathrooms all with mixer showers.

You win some you loose some mate, I used to beat myself up when I didn't get a job but you can't win them all, I think that's a fair price but if there that stupid and have a combi put on just because its cheaper then they'll soon find out when they try having a bath with another tap on somewhere.

probably best to give the customer what they want just put it in writting you dont consider the hot water supply will be sufficent then its up to them ive worked in houses with basin in every room 6 or seven running of a combi and they were happy with it

Yeah you're dead right Steve i just left it with them ive got other bits to be doing so couldnt be doing with the hassle tbh, i just wanted to make sure i wasnt overpricing

You're definitely not over priced mate thats for sure.
You can advise people what is best but if someone goes in and tells them a combi is better and they can fit it for less,
then leave them to it.
It seems to be the way at the moment with not a lot of money around.

I do not follow up on quotes so also do not know the reason if i quote for a job and do not get it but you should base your quotes on what you are happy to earn i made the mistake last year doing a couple of quote a bit cheaaper thinking they where going to have the work done straight away when i had little booked in, the only thing was the next month i had to much work for less money so do not do this any more also i have quoted for work before and had the phone ring months later the only way to know for sure is to give them a call they can only say you havent got the job and you can ask for the reason sometimes people will not go with the cheapest quote did they receive the quote,I was told at the quoting stage to ask the customer if it would be ok to ring them in a week to disscuss the quote and i think by doing this quote to job rate would increase.
I know it makes good business sense to do this but i dont
