Hello all,

I had a job today where a shower bar mixer was not allowing any hot water through at all, the temperature mixer had worn out. I stripped it down and as there was no make of shower printed on the casing I had no idea what type of cartridge/temperature mixer was required.

I advised them to buy a new shower which they have for about £75 from Wickes.

If there is no make of shower on the casing how do you order spares? Or was I correct in going to the next step in replacing the whole thing as it was a few years old. Like to save the customer their hard earned cash where I can!

All the best,
Connor

seems to me you had done all you could but with no info I think you made right move. end of the day customer happy shower now works job done as they say🙂regards turnpin

if it has no name on it then you will spending too much time trying to find a cart by visiting merchants and posting pics on websites

Its likely from a shed and shipped over from china

I would have advised to buy a decent make of shower to save a repeat of the issue

Definitely new shower mixer for safetys sake !
Possibly hazardous to attempt repair for the sake of £75. And not to have to go back again 😀
