I added 1 litre of Fernox F6 to a heating system a couple of weeks ago and I found (in addition to it's advertised properties) that it improved circulation. 2 radiators previously with slow heat-up even with balancing were working fine on my return visit. Just wondwered if any one else has noticed a similar effect.

It is the fist time I have used Fernox for long time as I found the old MB1 to be leak seaking and had an adverse effect on rubber components. Would be interesting to have any views on the collection of chemicals they now produce.

Not used any F6 have just assumed it to be snake oil, I mean a saving of 0.8/1.2% you get more variance with changed in heating load year to year.

It works by lower the viscosity of water and breaking down surface tension, so it will be more searching for leaks yes!! award for most not required product of the year? no that goes to sentinel for their X100 towel rail inhibitor, gathering dust at a suppliers near you:teeth_smile:
