Hi everyone after some help with my central heating problem
my ferroli F30 boiler has been off all summer only supplying DHW. Now that I have turned the heating on I am having to top it up at least once a day as the pressure in the system drops to 0
i started by looking for leaks or air locks. I have checked every single joint and radiator in the house. I've even had the floor boards up to check for leaks. There are NONE. I have added fernox leak sealer to the system and bled it thoroughly just to make sure. If I leave the central heating off for a 24hr period the pressure maintains.
Once the heating is on the pressure drops to 0 every day
i have isolated the central heating supply and return at the boiler and the boiler maintains pressure
i have checked the expansion vessel and no water coming out ov the valve however the pressure in the expansion vessel was a little low so I have recharged it to 1bar this has slowed down the pressure dropping in the system but I still need to top it up daily
when the central heating comes on the pressure in the system rapidly increases from 1.2bar to over 3bar and once the heating goes off it drops to bellow 1 bar
anyone have any ideas what the problem could be or what to do next as I'm at my whits end 🙁

Stop touching your boiler. If your not gas safe registered you could be putting your self and your family in danger. Get a gsr engineer in to look at it!

1) it would of saved you a lot of time.

2) it will probably save you money as next you will start replacing bits here and there costing you a fortune.

A decent engineer should sort this within an hour.
