Hi... have had my ferroli boiler fitted now for approx 5 years... I only control the temperature with the control on the boiler now this has a range from 30 degrees c to 85 degrees c...this i believe is delivery tempearature i finding it difficult to maintain a constant temperature.. i have to keep turning the delivery temp up or down..

would i be better off with a room stat...??

and setting this...??

if so what sort of delivery temperature should i set the boiler at...?

yes you would be better with a room stat, it will be more economical, as it is you have no boiler interlock.

when i had my Sime boiler installed years ago.. i was told that there had to be a radiator in the same room as the boiler.. so as to regulate the temperature.. as there was a thermostat in the boiler... is this different then with the ferroli ?? the ferroli seems to just bang out the heat until it reaches the set temp on the boler then throttle back to maintain that temperature.. to me this does seem wasteful..... what should i set the delivery temperature too then if i fit a room stat in my living room ??

what you need is TRV's on all radiators apart from the radiator in the room that has the room stat.
for a condensing boiler you want a lower return, 55 degrees or lower so that it will be condensing,
with a differential of 20c ( flow 75c )
