I went to look at one of these lovely devices toda - CH fires for about 5 seconds, repeatedly, with no demand. I'm pretty certain it's the frost protection kicking in, but to be sure I'd like to confirm what the expected resistance should be on the NTC stats. Anybody know offhand please?

Also, a bit of a side-issue, but the data plate had a GC number 47-267-01 which is the Falcon 80. But the control panel is off a Falcon II. Which annoys me, as I'm never 100& sure which manual to use to check parameters!
 
They're normally around the 12k ohm mark are they not??

That sounds about right. I had 15K Ohms in the back of my mind from a Biasi with the same problem... These ones are reading 7.15 CH and 8.35 DHW.
 
I know the baxi ones are 12 ish!! Would seem strange that they are similar readings for them both to be u/s
 
Did you disconnect time clock to rule that out?
What about a dodgy flow switch giving a constant demand?
NTC's are around 10KOHMS at 25°C to around 1KOHM at around 80°C.
