recently gained my city and guilds 6129 after completing a n 8 week intensive course with olci in livingston scotland. My aim is not to pretend im a plumber, set up a buisness, claim to know it all etc etc. All im after is a job as a plumbers mate so i can LEARN to become a plumber while earning enough to cover my morgage. My backgrounds in construction andwas previously earning good money but the prospects where next to zero. what i want to ask is does anyone have any tips or advice on finding this type of work??? iv made up a bundle ofcvs and cover letters to mail to every plumbing company in a 100 mile radius...HOPFULLY somthing will come up. Anyone in the same boat? i see a post from another guy wondering about doing his nvq2, yes the system is going to change but know1 really knows when and what to. Its all up in the air.
