If you're a union sympathiser then you'll be fine.

Some of the firefighters are brilliant and the type we'd expect to save us. Others are H&S sticklers. For example, they won't jump into water to save someone until there's a properly qualified person present, all the equipment is available on site and so on. (There are a number of rules with all this.)

A controversial comment I know, but when I visited a fire station a couple of years ago I found this a real eye opener. As for the money they spend, that's another story (and a reason why our taxes are so high.)

Ah so then you can become like all the firefighters round here, and steal work away from honest tradesmen.
Only joking SGI, just a real sore point with me!!!

Sorry to hear that graham . I am sure some is doing the same everywhere , but the way I see it is everyone is trying to provide food on the table one way or another !
Well done to Spain by the way 3:0

Used to work for a brickie who was also a fireman when I was 18. He was building an extension at the time and most nights he worked he just slept at the station, guess where I live not that many fires!! I applied about 2 years ago now but didn't even get passed an online application! One of the questions was write how you have helped someone who is from a different ethnic background to what you are??!! Strange question but found out from the fireman I know that local station had been told they had to employ some people that basically weren't White, Christian and English!

there is nothing better in live then having kids ss !!! t

NO NO NO, they smell, they're eternally ungrateful, they're expensive, they're never satisfied, greedy. I can't think of any real positives for the little bleeders, don't want them, never wanted them and I waited for a long time for a partner who felt the same.

Obviously, IMO, which is the one that matters when it comes to kids....:44:

cant be bothered with kids at all, although i am 22 so at that age, i do want kids though eventually...maybe 10 years or so haha

I bought a fire extinguisher and it arrived yesterday, does that make me a firefighter?

My wife doesn't and neither do I! Neither of us can get excited as each of our female friends starts cooing over their baby photos! Would much rather have a few cracking holidays each year instead.
