I know I'm getting old and I'm sounding more like dad every day but fireworks, I hate them.
Every year it starts earlier and earlier, keeps the kids up, upsets the dog. I don't get the appeal.
Whizzzzz, oooooowww, bang, ooooooowww.

And dont get me started on trick or treat!

not a fan either it scares the dogs, the parrots imitate the noises i just give my kids money or a present dangerous bloody things

I used to like them, but the dog is petrified. Through the summer we leave the back door open for her. One night there was an open air shakespear thing and finished with fireworks. Me and the missus were in bed and as soon as it started the dog was in the middle of us shaking. Not looking forward to the next two weeks.

My granddad hated them. Mainly because of his experiences through the war.

It's sparklers I hate. dangerous bloody things!

I understand kids liking them and getting excited but grown adults creaming themselves over a box of rockets? Ohhhh look live just spent 150 quid on a super duper box that'll be over in 6 minutes. Load of pony. And it's celebrating attempted terrorism! Imagine that today!

Sister has 2 dogs, one will sit looking out of window at them and the other runs away and hides somewhere dark. You can get little tablets to mix in their food to calm them down if they need it and whilst not funny funny it is like their on a high for awhile all unsteady on their feet and all that.

Diazepam? my missus has them when we go on holiday (flying) they're brilliant, its the only time we don't argue
Also they knock her out, something that I could never manage

One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter! Just harking back to Guy Fawkes 🙂

Channel 4 10.00pm Four Lions, very dark and very funny.

should ban the sale of the bloody things, organised events only, then I'd get some kip, for the next 4 weeks plus its a wake up every night down here with a howling dog scared rigid of them.
