hello i iam installing new bath , is there an easy way to fix to back wall for more stability cheers daz diy

The bath should come with a couple of brackets which you can recess into the wall. It's also a good idea to make your own frame to support it with all round.

If it is a solid wall, the correct way is to hack off the plaster where the bath edge goes so that the bath fits right up to the brickwork, fasten the brackets to the brickwork and render back up any gaps so the bath edge actually sits into the wall. Don't just screw it onto a plastered wall and hope for the best.

If it's a stud wall, obviosuly you can't do that but instead fasten the brackets to the bath so that they line up with the timberwork in the stoothing so you get a firm anchor.
