Fluidmaster Fill Valve Issue

Wondered if somebody can help me please. I have a close coupled toilet with a Fluidmaster 400 Filling valve (came with the flushvalve (part of the pro pack i think).

Anyway the valve has worked fine until I removed some tiles and managed to block the filter up, I have removed the red cap as shown and run the water until all the sediment comes out and all is ok, but now the float ball thing on the side is sticking and although its can be operated by hand, it won't when the water is filling the cistern up, like there isn't enough pressure to lift it up. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated as it's only a few months old.

Iv fitted plenty of these and often they have failed. Through not fault of anyone but the fill valve itself. Especially if its one with a brass shank. They aren't that dear. I'd replace it.
 
Sometimes when you move the red top you can move the body slightly, It isnt catching on the side of the cistern is it. Also make sure the little pivot near the red cap hasnt been disturbed..
 
I sorted it, I took the cistern apart and found that sediment had worked it's way in between the shaft and the floatation valve. A thorough clean and it's as good as new.!
