Did a job for an old lady last week and when I finished she asked me if I liked a drink. When I said yes, she gave me two boxes of bottles from her late husband including two unopened malt whiskies!

My joiner did some work for an old geezer and got given loads of veg from the allotment in payment (before giving his total). Trouble was it was nowhere near worthwhile as he had spent all afternoon on the job, but the old geezer obviously wasn't going to give any money over.

Did a job on a pub refurbishment a couple of years back and the landlord said that as the pub was going to be closed for a couple of weeks, the beer in the cellars was going to go out of date and so the tradesmen were welcome to drink it whilst we were there as long as we waited until clearing up time.....hic...hic
