Hi can any one clarify this :
When we did our unvented training the lecturer told us that d2 pipework can be run in waste pipe, as this can adequately take water of 100 degrees. He stated that our reference books ask for metal d2 but this was going to be amended. We have just completed a new build and the NHBC inspector has failed the d2 as it is solvent weld waste pipe!!!! We have searched the net but cannot find any thing confirming this.
Please can any one help ??

Have you read the G3 regs?
The D2 pipework can be run a plastic pipework that is to the standard BS7291-1 and must be clearly marked as such.
Any run of the mill waste pipe will not do as this may not be capable of withstanding the temps. of 100°C.

you also need to fit a hep2o in line trap, it is listed in the unvented training so it must be certified to use
