Generic boiler parts that marry over to other boilers?

Just interested to know if anyone knows of any boiler parts that can be used on another brand? Could be useful and some parts could be cheaper from make to make and could get someone the out the brown stuff on a Friday afternoon if the merchant doesn't have what you want.

For example i believe the Alpha 240 diverter valves are the same as the baxi 105's - one being massively more expensive than the other, due to the brand.

Worcester pump part number 87161063550 fits loads of things. Even fits on a grundfos pump body if you have a regular boiler. I pay £50 + vat for them and I always keep one on board.

You get the complete housing too which is useful, even if you just need the head you get the AAV and a handy bag of seals.

Beware though, plus vat and delivery. And some parts are copies. Having said that, I've ordered a Baxi dv valve and hw hex.

I needed a AAV for a Ferroli domicondens, think it was about £60 or something stupid like that and found out that Vaillant done the exact same AAV for £15 and it fit perfectly

And the same AAV on that website is £5.90, cheap that site isn't it. I generally just go parts centre as its down the road from me so it's just convenient, I know there not the cheapest but can't be bothered driving an extra 10 mins to the next merchant

I think the generic items from euro are oem items, so not boxed from vailant et al but direct from gianoni, zilmet, etc.

I've been looking for a solo fan for my house. The ones here are different, you have to crimp the wiring.

I'm sure I've had a solo fan from them before, and don't remember making any alterations, though it was a while back, certainly the WB fans are a direct change, as i fitted one last week.
