hello guys
a couple of days ago we had a call from one of our clients complaining about a leaky boiler.

When we turned up we instnatly found the leak. It was on the flow and return pipework about 1m away from the boiler.

The boiler itself was a BIASI with stand 22m pipe work BUT the boiler apparently was installed by a bunch of germans who used their own materials to install the rest of the heating system. This meant that the rest of the flow and return pipework is not 22mm. At the point were the two different sized pipes joined they used a noraml 22mm compression striaght connector and this is were it was leaking.

When we took it apart we found that the olive was about a mill too big for it and that the german pipe (made of plastic) had not insert eaither. No wonder it leaked no matter how much we tightened it.

I have included a photo where they used a different connector for the 15mm hot and cold connection to their pipework.

Mty question is, wher can i get the same type of connection for the 22mm. Anyone seen this before?

heres the photo of the fitting i want, can any one help?

thanks

Agree with simonjohns- definately talbot pushfit - designed for mdpe !!

If its a Talbot push fit its only rated to 20C and up to 40C by contacting Talbot customer services, but its on a heating system at up to 80C??????
