Glow worm ultracom cxi

My daughter has a Glow worm ultracom cxi combi boiler which is around two years old. The boiler works fine but about every 30 minutes it seems to fire up for a few seconds and then shut down again. This happens even when the central heating is off and there is no demand for hot water. Does anyone know if this is normal or is there a fault on the boiler.

Does it have a pre heat for the hot water on this model ? If so, if there's an Eco button then switch it on (or off as the case maybe).

Even with pre-heat I'd be wondering if there's a dripping tap somewhere 🙂

Fair comment, every 30 mins is a bit excessive
