Went yo this on Friday, water pouring out of prv, filling loop left connected and valve internals were letting by, disconnected the loop capped the valve, reduced pressure to 1.5 bar, arranged to go this week with new valves, got call later pressure back up to 3 bar, was thinking dhw hex and heating hex somehow passing to each other, anybody any other ideas how pressure is going up with no fill loop attached?

when you said cap valve which valve are you on about I am assuming the filling loop. on the cxi with the filling loop under the boiler on the valves they can pass customer may have reconnected .this type

No mate it's the old braided fill loop, non return (without isolating lever) and lever 1/4 turn valve. Separate from the boiler, teed into the return.

yes it was the 1/4 turn valve I capped

check expansion vessel charge and the flexi from the vessel to the hydro block these can block and stop any expansion other than that plate

New boiler going in would like Intergas but will probably end up cheapest bargain basement
