did a gas cert on this today - the fan was sticking so freed that off and oiled it . inlet pressure 21mb and burner press 13.5mb so all ok to data badge . left boiler on while I did other jobs and the radiators took ages to warm. decided to gas rate and got 7kw should be 10kw at that burner pressure. removed burner and cleaned - could not get the nozzle out so cleaned with a bras piece of wire . called glowworm who said if I am getting the burner pressure I should get the gas rate but I am not . if the jet was blocked I would assume the burner press would be high.

Could be sludged system,did you wire brush the fins on the heat exchanger,build up on thease can stop heat transfer.

yes mate . only getting 7kw gas rate loosing 3kw somehow may go back next wk and try and get the jet out and check the burner pipe

try gas rating a different appliance if theyve got one just in case the meters playing up.

hob and fire ok mate. all I can think is that the gas valve may be say only letting 10mb through and the pipe from gas valve to jet partly blocked raising the burner press and restricting flow that's all I can think off . will have to go back and take the jet out and the pipe from valve just scared of shearing it off it would not budge with spanner .
