Has anyone seen inside the above boiler. From images I have managed to view it looks like the flexicom heat exchanger. Are they phasing out the ultracom 2

From September of this year, all new boilers have to meet the European directive to curb emissions. Hence the introduction of Erp by manufacturers.

All old Glowworm Flexicom and Ultracom models are now discontinued, although there is still quite a lot of stock in the supply chain.

Their new products are "Energy", "Home" and "Sustain". These represent channels to market. Energy products are aimed at the replacement market, Home products are aimed at new build, and Sustain products are aimed at social housing.

I suspect that the differentiation will be more in the pricing and marketing structures than in the engineering. I understand that all have aluminium heat exchangers.

The ultracom 2 was a good boiler why not just replace pump like vaillant did on ecotec. The flexicom Heat exchanger is horrible. I do hope it's not got that heat exch

took an energy apart alittle in the merch the other month, i think its directly aimed at the logic plus market place.
