Glued black plastic water pipe

Does anybody know what I need to it onto this stuff? 1/2" black plastic glued pipe. Never seen it before and I have a builder waiting to have it moved.

dont quite understand your problem, were you sniffing glue when you wrote your post ?

Do you mean Polyorc? Dark greyish, brittle cold water service?

If you possibly can, get it all out right back to the stopcock.

If you have to get onto it, you can buy a 15mm compression x 1/2 polyorc and I think there is also a 3/8 version. Good luck finding one on the shelf though - we stopped stocking them some years ago. There is someone selling them here.

I wish I had I'd be alot happier. Probably didnt make sense as I had my girlfriend chirping onto me.

I have a 1/2" glued black plastic water pipe in a house that needs moving for a builder not sure what fittings I need to get to connect onto it as I have never seen it before in my life.

The builder needs it moving asap although it would of been nicely on view before they started the job.

sphincter muscle testing playing with that stuff, almost guaranteed to split further back once you make a new connection, last time I worked with it and used a connector costing some ridiculous amount, near £40 plus, as custard refused a new run, I got him to sign a note relieving me of any liability should a leak occur once I left.

That sounds about right. I wish I could renew the whole lot but it all runs under a floor and they dont want it ripping up as its tiled.

It could be durapipe. Used around the copper shortage in the 70's.

Pts do the couplers for that stuff for about 6 quid but as mentioned best ripped out.

If it's dura then it's best glued, give it 4 hours to set. It will prob be 3/8 and you will need an 8/8 to 1/2 ring, a 1/2 male iron and a 1/2 to copper comp.

and the right hi pressure glue and cleaner. Pipe centers own brand is fine.
