Hi there, I have a range tribune he boiler and it's controlled by a grasslin ecosave. I've never had any problem with it before but now it's broken. It has two indicators an off peak one which comes on during the night when the off peak timer is set to heat up the water. There is also a boost indicator. i can put on a boost for between 15 to 120 mins if necessary and the boost indicator comes on when I do. The last few days the boost indicator has been on constantly, I'm worried this means my boost has been on constantly as well and my electricity bill will be huge. Normally to set a boost you put it to the time you want and press it in, if you want to interrupt it or stop it you just press it in again. Can anyone help?

Get it replaced for a Horstmann - Economy 7 Timer, last so much longer and far better unit,if faulty and sticking on,you should get repaired asap for your safety

if booster stuck on ,you will be facing higher bills, however immersion heater will not be on all the time as it has a built in thermostat that turns off when water temp reached, cheap rate immersion maybe ok,just clock stopped working as it does on this model

imho

Hi, thanks for the reply. If I'm just replacing the timer unit and not the boiler do I need to call a plumber or an electrician?

Many plumbers cover this, you would have to check when you ring them,or you could just contact a electrician

imho
