Has anyone fitted one of these before? I have got one to fit tomorrow and have been told it looks complicated and there is a solenoid valve and bits to fit as well. Just hoping to get some first hand knowledge off someone who has installed one.

Fitted 2 (Yes 2!!) in the house of a customer who is an eye surgeon a couple of years ago.
Pretty straight forward except you need to connect up to 3/8'' males, the flexis that come with it aren't UK standard.
Be sure to have a couple of 3/8 - 15mm adapters before arriving or you may be going for a drive mid-job 😉

So how does the solenoid valve fit on the pipework? Is there like a blending valve or something as well?

The instructions that come with it are pretty easy to follow, just make sure you have plenty of room under the sink. You're going to be connecting extra bits to the hot and cold supplies, and a black plastic part (solenoid) on the wall or back of the unit.
Hope you don't dislike flexis too much cos there's a whopper that comes in this kit 😉

Just had a look at the actual tap you're fitting, I should of clicked the poofix link before answering...
The ones I fitted had a shower head but were about the same price. Your installation will be even simpler, just connect feeds to solenoid and connect flexis from tap on other side of solenoid. The solenoid is just the bit that controls the hands free operation.
You're going to be spared the horror of the 3 foot flexi as the one you're fitting doesn't have a shower bit.
There is a wire to connect up but it's dead easy and only battery operated.

Thanks, Ive not had a chance to see the tap yet so wanted to know what I am walking into. It doesn't sound too bad.
