J jinjerwitch Dec 9, 2009 #1 😀Hi folks. what.....do the numbers on a Grundfos pump stand for ie 25-80? thanks.
B Bernie2 Dec 9, 2009 #2 No Answers yet! I think I did know but have forgotten. I imagine its got something to do with the pumps performance curve. The thing is when you look at the curves and the numbers they don't agree. I seem to remember something about these numbers that was unusual going back to imperial sizes days, but can't remember what it is. Most Plumber just look at the performance curve rather than bother with the numbers. The higher the number the stronger the pump. You have intrigued me, I'll let you know what I find out.

D danielp Dec 9, 2009 #4 i second bernie , the average pump being 15-50 , so if this is the same numbers we are on about thats a fairly large pump!

B Bernie2 Dec 9, 2009 #5 Err! Rang Grundfos. So this is from them. UPS 15 -50 The 15 is 15mm nominal bore of the pump. The 50 is the head it will develop in kPa or just over 5 metres head. Last edited by a moderator: Dec 10, 2009
