Hi all again, Followed the fault procedure for my Halstead Ace boiler and the flow chart said replace PCB - Just done that! made all adjustments but boiler still refused to fire up - any ideas anyone?

Hi Puddle, Power light is on can't hear pump and fan not turning. Can hear the click when hot tap turned on though!! Can't hear any pre start checks happening either checked all connections and they are all sound. - thanks again.

you have checked over heat reset ok at bottom of boiler ?

Also believe faulty or bad connections on c/h green topped thermistor at front r/h side will produce same fault

Have checked overheat stat - not tripped. Have not checked the CH Thermistor is there a quick way of doing this? Thanks

room temp, say around 15' resistance should be around 14/15 k ,down to about 5 k when hot

I'll check that out, not at the property at the moment back there 1st thing in the morning anything else i should look out for whilst i'm at it? - thanks Puddle.

Could make sure contacts on air pressure switch breaking ok and not stuck
Obviously check all connections all nice and tight, lowering the lid can loosen as alot of the leads are as short as can be,double check high limit not faulty ,normally closed contacts
Hope you get working and not a faulty replacemnet pcb

I'll do that tomorrow and let you know - all connections are nice and tight I was careful not to over stretch the cables but unplugging the magneto cables had to replace a crimp that pulled off!! hope the new board isn't faulty they got upset about the discount as it is. - thanks again - watch this space!!!

Hi Puddle, got the boiler fired up!! The problem was in the main flow sensor which was jammed - freed it and all is well again. - thanks for all your help it was the checks you suggested that revealed it. - thanks again. PS got a spare PCB Now!!!

sorry, should have mentioned pump flow switch when said to check pump.anyway ,pleased you got sorted
hopefully you will come across a faulty pcb soon to use yours on🙂

No problems you pointed me in the direction and I thankyou for that. As for the PCB New one is in!! Cant make money back on an old one! Thanks again Puddle and thanks for taking the time to reply. - Thankyou.
